Software မသံုးဘဲ Drive ကို Password ေပးျခင္း

BitLocker ဆိုတာက Computer မွာတပ္ထားတဲ့ Storage Drive ေတြကို Encrypt လုပ္ပစ္လိုက္တာ။

ဒီလို Encrypt လုပ္တဲ့ေနရာမွာလည္း Encrypting File System (EFS) နဲ႔ မတူပါဘူး။

EFS က File တစ္ခုခ်င္းကို ေရြးခ်ယ္ၿပီးေတာ့ Encrypt လုပ္လို႔ရတယ္။ BitLocker ကေတာ့ Drive တစ္ခုလံုးကို

Encrypt လုပ္လုိက္တာပါ။

Memory Stick ဆိုပါစို႔။

Stick ကုိ ကၽြန္ေတာ္က Password ေပးၿပီး Encrypt လုပ္လိုက္တယ္ဗ်ာ။

ဒါဆိုရင္ ကၽြန္ေတာ့္ရဲ႕ Stick ကို သံုးတဲ့အခါတိုင္းမွာ Password ရိုက္ထည့္ေပးမွပဲ အထဲက Files ေတြကိုသံုးလို႔ ရမယ္။

Windows မတူရင္ေရာရလား လို႔ ေမးစရာတစ္ခုရွိပါမယ္။ ရပါတယ္။

XP နဲ႔ Vista စက္ေတြမွာလည္း BitLocker က ေကာင္းေကာင္းအလုပ္လုပ္ပါတယ္။

BitLocker ကို အသံုးျပဳျခင္းျဖင့္ ဘာေကာင္းတာေတြရမလဲဆိုေတာ့ အဓိက Security ပါ။

ကိုယ့္ရဲ႕ Files ကို အလြယ္တစ္ကူ Copy ယူလို႔မရသလို၊ Delete လုပ္လို႔လည္းမရႏိုင္ပါဘူး။

လုပ္ခ်င္ရင္ေတာင္မွ Password ကိုေက်ာ္မွ ရပါမယ္။ ဒါကေတာ့ အေတာ္္မလြယ္တဲ့နည္းပါ။

BitLocker နဲ႔ Encrypt လုပ္ထားတဲ့ Drive ကို ပံုမွန္သံုးလို႔ရပါတယ္။

ေနာက္ထပ္အသစ္ထည့္လိုက္တဲ့ Files ေတြကိုလည္း အလိုလို Encrypt လုပ္လိုက္ပါတယ္။

File ေတြဟာ BitLocker သံုးထားတဲ့ Drive ထဲမွာ ရွိေနသမွ်ေတာ့ Encrypt ျဖစ္ေနမွာပါပဲ။

Encrypt လုပ္ထားတဲ့ Drive ထဲက Files ေတြကို တစ္ျခား Drive ၊ တစ္ျခား Computer ထဲကို copy လုပ္လိုက္တဲ့

အခ်ိန္မွာ အဲဒီ Files ေတြဟာ Decrypt ျဖစ္သြား ပါတယ္။

System Drive ကို BitLocker နဲ႔ Encrypt လုပ္မယ္ဆိုရင္ေတာ့ Trusted Platform Module (TPM) ဆိုတဲ့

chip ရွိရပါမယ္။ Computer ကို ဖြင့္လိုက္တဲ့အခ်ိန္မွာ BitLocker ဟာ System Drive ကို အသံုးျပဳ

ဖို႔ အတြက္ key ကို TPM ဆီမွာ ေတာင္းပါတယ္။ System Drive ကိုလည္း Encrypt

လုပ္ထားႏိုင္ပါတယ္။

BitLocker ကို Vista မွာကတည္းက ျမင္ဖူးမိတာပါ။ ဒါေပမဲ့ BitLocker ဆိုတာႀကီးကို မစမ္းျဖစ္ဘူး။

ဒါကလည္း ခက္ခက္ခဲခဲမရွိ ပါဘူး။ ေအာက္ကေျပာထားတဲ့အတိုင္းပဲ လုပ္ၾကည့္လိုက္ပါဦး။

ကၽြန္ေတာ္စမ္းၾကည့္တဲ့ Memory Stick ကေတာ့ SanDisk 4GB ပါ။ Encrypt လုပ္တဲ့ၾကာခ်ိန္က ၇ မိနစ္

ေက်ာ္ပါတယ္။ Decrypt ျပန္လုပ္တဲ့ အခါမွာေတာ့ ၁၀ မိနစ္ေက်ာ္ပါတယ္။ Encrypt နဲ႔ Decrypt လုပ္ေနစဥ္အတြင္း

မွာ သတိေပးထားတာကိုေတာ့ လိုက္နာဖို႔ေတာ့လိုပါမယ္။

To turn on BitLocker

1. Click to open BitLocker Drive Encryption.

2. Click Turn On BitLocker. This opens the BitLocker setup wizard. Follow the instructions

in the wizard. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type

the password or provide confirmation.

အေပၚက အဆင့္အတိုင္းေလးလုပ္ၾကည့္ၿပီးတဲ့အခါမွာေတာ့ Windows 7 မွာ ျပန္စမ္းၾကည့္တယ္။

အလုပ္လုပ္ တယ္။ Vista စက္မွာစမ္းေတာ့လည္း အဆင္ေျပေနတုန္းပဲ။ XP မွာ စမ္းၾကည့္ေတာ့လည္း ေကာင္းတုန္းပဲ။

ဒါဆို အိုေကတယ္ေပါ႔။ XP စက္မွာ Encrypt Drive ထဲကို Copy ကူးထည့္တာ မရဘူးခင္ဗ်ာ။

ဒါနဲ႔ Vista စက္မွာမ်ား ရမလားလို႔စမ္းေတာ့လည္း မရပါဘူးဗ်ာ။ Windows 7 မဟုတ္လို႔မရပါဘူး လို႔ ေျပာပါ တယ္။

Windows 7 မွာ Stick ကို တပ္ၿပီး Data အသစ္ထပ္ ထည့္ေတာ့ရပါတယ္။ ကၽြန္ေတာ္ေတြးမိတာကေတာ့ Data

ထပ္ထည့္ခ်င္ရင္ Windows 7 စက္ျဖစ္မွရမယ္။ Drive ထဲကေန Data ထုတ္ခ်င္ရင္ေတာ့

Windows 7 မျဖစ္ လည္း ရပါတယ္။ကၽြန္ေတာ္လည္း အမ်ိဳးမ်ိဳးစမ္းၾကည့္ၿပီးပါၿပီ။

ေအာက္ကနည္းကေတာ့ ျပန္ၿပီးေတာ့ Decrypt လုပ္တဲ့နည္းပါ။

To turn off or temporarily suspend BitLocker

1. Click to open BitLocker Drive Encryption.

2. Do one of the following:

To temporarily suspend BitLocker, click Suspend Protection, and then click Yes.

To turn off BitLocker and decrypt the drive, click Turn Off BitLocker, and then click Decrypt Drive.
